Impeccable Timing (is impeccable spelled right?)

Rachel's Challenge is a wonderful cause working to reach every student in America via a chain reaction. It is based on a girl, Rachel Scott, who was shot during the Columbine tragedy. (I encourage all you to check out the website. It's definitely worth it.) When the gunman pointed his gun at Rachel's face, he asked her a question. "Do you still believe in God?" She answered yes. He asked why but never gave her the chance to answer before shooting her. Her challenge is based on the chain reaction that her story started.

I was talking to one of my friends on the phone one night and he mentioned Rachel's Challenge. He's not extremely religious but I asked if that was the girl who said yes when the gunman asked if she believed in God. He said that he didn't know anything about that and that was the end of it. The next morning, I was reading in my new Jesus Freaks devotional. Each day I read a story and it has an application and a Bible verse. That morning after our discussion about Rachel's Challenge, the story of Rachel Scott's martyrdom was the devotion for the day. Talk about impeccable timing! Only God can pull that kind of stuff off.

Amen.
